Crib notes of a full life

D. B. EVANS has an eclectic background, with a bachelor’s degree in theology and a master’s in ministry from Freedom Bible College and Seminary. Evans has studied music, theater, and writing in a variety of styles and formats. He has written many essays and thesis on a wide range of theological topics. Evans is an Eagle Scout and is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association. He has been performing magic for over thirty years and is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, the Society of American Magicians, and Fellowship of Christian Magicians. He uses these performance elements as visual aids to teach different points of scripture and faith. With a fondness for the performing arts he has been seen on stage, television and in film. At times performing in plays he has written for local venues. Teaching the Scriptures and spreading the Gospel has always been a life's goal. A goal which he is finally achieving.

More details about me and Jamaer

Productions & Ministries.

I grew up in a high Anglican / Episcopal environment, serving as an acolyte and Sub-Deacon. My goal at that time was to become an Episcopal priest, but life (God) took me in different directions. Over the years I noticed the lack of foundation for the faith, which relied heavily on doctrine and tradition.

Also, through these years, I attended the Bar and Bat mitzvahs of my Jewish cousins and neighborhood friends. Through these and other seeds of knowledge, the realization was planted that there is more to know than just traditions and man made doctrines. Many years later I began looking for an outlet for my dissatisfaction with the traditional church setting.

I finally found a Messianic Jewish Synagogue to settle into and attend for a number of years.

During that time, I began attending a Baptist based Bible School and Seminary. It turned out I was somewhat of a rebel as I would challenge and question points of doctrine and tradition. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theology and a master’s ministry. It was in these years I began to write the faith-based books works. These were the beginnings of a variety of essays and commentaries, including the faith-based books offered on my website.

After those years, myself and some others, both Jews and Gentiles, founded our own Messianic congregation, Kahilat Ben David. My Jewish wife Teri and I currently host the worship services at our home.

Prior to my attending the Bible College I completed my Associates degree in Communications, with an emphasis on creative writing and script writing. Writing dialogue and scripts became a fascination and enjoyment, as a result I completed many screenplays and several live theatrical scripts.

Finally, what is "Jamaer"? Jamaer is an acronym for my children. It is used as a name for my productions, enterprises, and ministries. It is where my writings, knowledge, thoughts, and experiences are shared. Access to my Paradox book series is offered here as well. I am hoping that eventually there will be an inclusion of video teachings.

Thank you for your time and interest.

Furthermore, he gave some people as emissaries, some as prophets, some as proclaimers of the Good News, and some as shepherds and teachers. 12 Their task is to equip God’s people for the work of service that builds the body of the Messiah, (Eph 4:11 NASB)
